Principles of International Management (41040) - Prof. Dr. Susanne Enke/Andreas Reinhardt

The lecture gives an overview of the basic challenges and principles of international management. It introduces culture-specific challenges in the international business environment and the tools with which to overcome them. In particular, the lecture will consider national culture as the cause of differences between nations, theories of international business, strategic management, organizational structure, and human resource management in multinational corporations among others. Doing Business in Eastern Europe: The case of Ukraine (21158) - Prof. Elena Reshetnyak

The course is focused on social, economic, and cultural aspects of conducting business in Ukraine, with the emphasis on human capital, managerial practice, human resource management and organizational culture.

The course includes video-conferences with the participation of representatives of Ukrainian businesses and International companies, which currently conduct business in Ukraine; involvement in interaction with Ukrainian counterparts during group project work.

Cross-Cultural Management (21676) - Prof. Dr. Susanne Enke/Angela Rother

In this seminar you will learn about cultural differences throughout intercultural trainings and interactively reflecting on your experiences. 

The intercultural training sessions will take place as a blocked seminar at Schloss Gollwitz. Expenses for the stay will be ca. € 30 per person. Each student will contribute to the training sessions by presenting a poster on a keyword related to a cross-cultural topic. In the course of the semester students will also write a seminar paper on a cross-cultural case study. 

Please fill in the application form and send it to Angela Rother (angela.rother@ovgu.de) no later than April 7, 12pm. We will inform you about the admission to on Monday April 10. The Kick-Off meeting will take place on April 20. It is mandatory to attend all seminar dates.
