WHU Diversity Week 2021: An academic talk on our diversity research

16.11.2021 -

Another great occasion to talk about our research on diversity! We followed the invitation by WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and shared our insights on the effectiveness of diversity certifications at this year’s WHU Diversity Week.

How to manage diversity at the workplace

Creating a place for mutual exchange on diversity and educating tomorrow’s thought leaders in successful diversity management – it is with this intent that the student network “Diversity at WHU” at the Otto Beisheim School of Management has launched the sixth WHU Diversity Week. For five days, students, alumni and experts from academia and practice have approached the central topic of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) from various perspectives and dimensions. The hybrid event consisted of workshops, keynotes, academic talks and panel discussions offering an open space for anyone to talk about their experience and opinions on DE&I.

A very memorable statement from one of the panel discussions: “We need inclusion & belonging, diversity will follow”. Thanks to Dominik Weh from Oliver Wyman for this accurate observation.

Although we would have loved to experience the Diversity Week in person, we were happy to attend such an exciting virtual program.
